Why We Built This Site
Nebraska allows access to many public records, but access is not the same as a single database. Colfax County Court holds misdemeanors, traffic cases, ordinances, and felony preliminaries. District Court keeps filed felony matters. The sheriff handles its own reports and temporary custody, while prisoners may be placed in a neighboring county. The Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division maintains a separate fingerprint-supported repository.
Bringing the official office names, search methods, phones, addresses, fees, and known limits into one reference makes it easier to start with the correct source. The source office still controls every official record.
The official Colfax County Census profile supplies local context for access needs without serving as a measure of crime.

What We Cannot Do
This resource is not affiliated with Colfax County, Nebraska, any court, law-enforcement agency, or records repository. It cannot issue certified copies, change a docket, correct a repository entry, confirm a warrant, locate a prisoner in real time, or give legal advice.
Only the office that holds the original can provide an official copy or make an authorized correction. Current custody, court dates, registration status, and fees should always be confirmed with that office.
Search Partners
Search tools or advertisements may be supplied by outside partners. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. They are not substitutes for Nebraska JUSTICE, the Nebraska State Patrol, the Colfax County court clerks, the sheriff, NDCS, or the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry.
Federal criminal cases use official federal sources such as PACER rather than Nebraska JUSTICE or an advertising partner.
